Dawne D. Lindsey was
appointed Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County by Judge Sharer
and Judge Leasure on July 2, 2001. Ms. Lindsey is a lifelong resident
of Allegany County. She graduated from Mt. Savage High School and
received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from
West Virginia University.
Before coming to work in the Clerk's
Office, she spent 12 years working in various supervisory positions.
Ms. Lindsey's responsibilities include supervising Clerk's Office personnel
in the civil, criminal, courtroom, business license, marriage license,
land records, and juvenile units.
Ms. Lindsey's goal is to ensure that
each person who enters the Clerk's Office receives courteous, fast, and
accurate information.
