Clerk of the Circuit Court, Donald B. Sealing IIABOUT THE CLERK

Donald B. Sealing II has been a resident of Carroll County for over thirty (30) years and been an employee of the Circuit Courts of Howard and Carroll County for more than thirty (30) years. Mr. Sealing was the Chief Deputy Clerk for Carroll County from 1985 through 2001. Mr. Sealing retired from the Clerk’s office in December 2001 to assume the position of Court Administrator, a position he held until September 2002 when he began working for a private law firm in Ellicott City, Maryland. He was elected to the office of Clerk of the Circuit Court and sworn as the Clerk of the Court on December 1, 2006.

Mr. Sealing has held many positions within the Judiciary including Deputy Clerk, Jury Commissioner, Chief Deputy Clerk, Court Administrator and most recently, Clerk of the Circuit Court. He has knowledge of all aspects of the Clerk’s office as well as administration and fiscal affairs.

Mr. Sealing was a graduate of Atholton High School in Howard County and has an Associates Degree from Catonsville Community College. He has continued his education by taking available courses offered by the Administrative Office of the Courts in Maryland.

Mr. Sealing’s goal is to treat every citizen with respect, courtesy and compassion. To borrow a phrase from my predecessor, you are always welcome in the Clerk’s office.
