CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT

William L. Brueckman is a lifelong resident of Cecil County. An employee of the Clerk’s Office since 1965 where he began his career in land records, recording deeds and mortgages, then he moved into the civil law department before serving 18 years as a Courtroom Clerk. His experience in the daily operations of the court led to his election as Clerk of the Court in 1994. Mr. Brueckman is currently serving his 3rd term as Clerk of the Court. Mr. Brueckman’s responsibilities include supervising Clerk’s Office personnel in the civil, criminal, courtroom, business license, marriage license, land records, and juvenile departments.

Mr. Brueckman’s goal is to ensure that his office provides prompt, courteous and accurate information and the highest quality of service to all who seek the assistance of the Circuit Court for Cecil County.
