Margaret D. Rappaport, Clerk of the Circuit Court
Margaret D. Rappaport was elected Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Howard County in 1990. Prior to becoming Clerk, Mrs.
Rappaport served as Judge of the Orphans' Court for Howard County from 1986-1989.
As
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard County, Mrs. Rappaport has served on many
committees statewide that work to benefit the Maryland Judiciary as well as
the Howard County Circuit Court. She is a member of the Conference of Circuit
Court Clerk's Association and the Maryland Circuit Court Clerk's Association. Mrs. Rappaport previously has served on the Compensation, Legislative, Procurement and the Professional Development Committees.
Since Mrs. Rappaport has been in office,
programs have been instituted to improve accessibility of the legal system to
all. Mrs. Rappaport's goal is to ensure that the Clerk's Office for the Circuit
Court for Howard County provides courteous and accurate information and the
highest quality of service to all.
Mrs. Rappaport graduated from the University
of Maryland and taught school in Anne Arundel and Howard counties. She resides
in Ellicott City and has 3 grown children, Leslie, Glenn,
and Amy and 3 grandchildren. |
