The GEARS/JIS BUS team is making planned systems changes/updates, during which time users will be unable to access the JIS BUS system for cash register data upload/submission to GEARS. This is a scheduled outage.
Description: Apply change to JIS BUS system described below
Date/time JIS BUS being taken offline: Monday, May 11th at 5:30 PM – Please be sure to complete all processing by 5:30 PM to avoid being “kicked” out of the system.
Expected Availability date/time: Monday, May 11th at 7:30 PM
Change to be in place on Tuesday, May 12th:
The change itemized below only impacts District Court (DC) users of the JIS BUS/GEARS system. However, the JIS Bus system will be unavailable to all users.
The team is implementing a change that will create fewer Bill Headers from daily JIS Bus transactions coming from RCS. Users will have the same number of bill lines, just fewer bill headers. This was accomplished by ‘copying’ the Case Number from the parent item to each linked item in the RCS register.
What does this mean for the DC user? When reviewing the AOC_CHARGE_ID_ALLOCATION query daily from the BUS transactions, the user will see all Case Numbers where case numbers were entered. Secondly, when processing Bad Checks, the user will see fewer bills with the same receipt#, which should assist in expediting the bad check process.
