Mission Statement - The mission of the Office of Professional Development is to provide learning opportunities for Judiciary employees, enabling them to enhance their professional skills and develop personal attributes conducive to successful operation of the courts and encourage life-long learning practices.

- What is it?
- The certificate programs, winners of the John Neufeld Award in 2006*, are designed to ensure Judiciary employees career enhancement, personal growth and development and thereby foster a more competent court system in delivering justice to citizens.

Benefits of completing the certificate courses:
- You may earn college credits at Michigan State University for taking specified Certificate classes
- Journal entries you keep may also earn you college credits
- You may take approved classes at MAACM (Mid-Atlantic Association for Court Management) and receive college credit at Michigan State University.
- Upon completion of the program, a monetary sum equal to the amount available for tuition reimbursement in a fiscal year will be awarded to you.
- Extra consideration for promotions or career growth opportunities.
* An annual award given by MAACM (Mid-Atlantic Association for Court Management) for a significant or unique educational program or court management system in the Mid-Atlantic region during the past three years.
