Our Instructors
JOAN COBLE
Education and training have been major factors in Joan Coble’s working career. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Secondary Education from Salisbury University. In 1997 she received her Masters of Education from Salisbury University with an emphasis in Adult Education. Over the past 20 years, she has been involved in high school, college, and community health education both as an administrator and instructor. Joan joined the Maryland Judiciary in 1998 and is currently a Training Specialist at the Judiciary Training Center.
JAMES DAVIS
James Davis joins the training team with a background in EEO, Diversity Training, and Prevention of Sexual Harassment. His experience includes design and presentation of training on a wide variety of topics: leadership, teambuilding, time management, work-life balance, and conflict resolution. James has over twenty years of experience in labor management relations, employee relations, arbitration, and EEO investigation. James received his BA from Rutgers University in Sociology and JD from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is currently a Training Specialist at the Judiciary Education and Conference Center.
NANCY KLINE
Before accepting her present position of Training Specialist in March of 1999, Ms. Kline was the Training Coordinator and Senior Counselor for a non-profit mental health organization in Columbia, Maryland. She specialized in teaching classes on crisis intervention, communication skills, domestic violence, sexual assault, substance abuse, depression, suicide prevention, and mental health disorders. Presently, in conjunction with teaching courses for the Judiciary's Office of Professional Development, Ms. Kline administers two Maryland Judiciary certificate programs as well as a national certification program through the National Center for State Courts. She is a certified instructor for the Institute for Court Management as well as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Ms. Kline earned her Bachelor's degree at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. She has also attended Johns Hopkins University as a post graduate.
