Staffed by 18 full-time and part-time, professional and paraprofessional employees, the Library stands ready to serve users from all walks of life.

The mission of the Maryland State Law Library, as a support unit of the state court system, is to provide access for the law related information needs of the judiciary as well as the legal community, government agencies and the public.

The library pursues a full  range of traditional and technologically enhanced service strategies that provide timely, accurate and efficient access to the sources of law, including federal, state and local government information resources.
