The Maryland State Law Library has an extensive collection of legal databases. All databases below are available from the public computers. A selected number of database are available via the Library's WiFi connection.

Search for primary legal materials. Includes U.S. case law, codes and regulations.


Library Catalog

Search the Library's Catalog for books, journals, government publications, task force reports available at the Maryland State Law Library.

Search for all journals, both online and print owned by the library. Includes direct links to journals available online.

Comprehensive coverage of U.S. legal periodicals from 1908 to present. Many articles available in full text.

LegalTrac

Index of over 900 legal periodical titles, including journals, newspapers, and law reviews, as well as articles from over 1,000 additional business and general interest journal titles.

HeinOnline
Available at Library via WiFi and public workstations
Database of full-image, full-text legal journal articles from the time of their inception to present, or near present (varies by title).

Academic Search Complete
Available at Library via WiFi and public workstations
A multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 6,100 full-text periodicals, including more than 5,100 peer-reviewed journals


Legal Forms

Library policy prevents library staff from recommending forms; however, staff can assist with using the web sites and databases below or finding print forms from our extensive collection of form books.

District Court Forms
Universal Access
Includes many court forms in the following ares: general law, civil law, criminal law, domestic violence, protective orders, peace orders.

Domestic Relations Forms

Includes child support, custody, visitation, divorce forms, change of name forms, and instructions.

Maryland Legal Forms from Gale/Cengage

This commercial database contains a wide variety of sample Maryland state-specific legal forms.

Comprehensive full-text, full-image database of over 22,000 historical American and British legal treatises, published from 1800 to 1926.

LLMC Digital
Available at Library via WiFi and public workstations
LLMC Digital includes scanned full-text access to many old reporters including Maryland reporters from 1658-1922.

Includes: Bar CLE publications and Aspen treatise libraries on various topics, including: general litigation, employment discrimination, employment law, family law, product liability, and real estate. Estate Planning from RIA Checkpoint

Package includes more than 20 authoritative WG&L treatises.
