JUSTICE FOR ALL Forum to be Held at Montgomery Blair H.S.

(Silver Spring, MD—May 14, 2002) Residents from Montgomery and Prince George’s County are invited to attend the first annual “JUSTICE FOR ALL” public forum, to be held at Montgomery Blair High School—51 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring—on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m.  This event is being sponsored by the Maryland Judiciary.  J. C. Hayward, anchorwoman for Channel 9 News, will be the moderator.  There will be a presentation on the criminal justice system with representatives from the Office of the State’s Attorney, the Office of the Public Defender, and other agencies.  In addition, District and Circuit Court Judges from Montgomery County will be on hand to answer questions from the community about the court system, and to discuss critical issues related to the courts and the law.

“We want to encourage all residents to come to the forum, meet informally with their judges, and learn about the law,” said Court of Appeals Chief Judge Robert M. Bell. “This is a wonderful opportunity for judges and community members to meet face-to-face and discuss the law-related issues of today.”

Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese interpreters will be available for the public forum. Media are invited to attend. For more information, please call (301) 279-1369, or the Court Information Office at (410) 260-1488.
