ANNAPOLIS (September 15, 2003) – The Maryland Judiciary will hold its third Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Outreach on Friday, September 19 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s (UMES) Richard Henson Center in Princess Anne, Maryland from 10 am to 4 pm. The outreach is free to the public, and will provide seminars on creating and building business relationships with the Maryland Judiciary and UMES, as well as how to become MBE Certified in the State of Maryland. The event also provides the opportunity for small and local businesses to network with other businesses and government agencies. Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Robert M. Bell, State Court Administrator Frank Broccolina and University of Maryland Eastern Shore President Dr. Thelma B. Thompson will provide opening remarks. Hon. Rudolph C. Cane, House of Delegates for Dorchester and Wicomico counties, will be the guest luncheon speaker. The mission of the Maryland Judiciary
MBE program is to ensure equal access to contacting opportunities for certified
minority businesses seeking to do business with the courts. This commitment
translates into opportunities for firms with a devotion to providing quality
services and creative solutions.
