ANNAPOLIS, MD (January 20, 2004) - The Maryland State Law Library’s lecture series continues this month with a lecture on “The Maryland Declaration of Rights, 1776-2004,” given by Dan Friedman, Esq. The lecture will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, at 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland State Law Library, located in the Robert C. Murphy Courts of Appeal Building, 361 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis.

Mr. Friedman practices with Saul Ewing in Baltimore, concentrating in commercial litigation and state and local government law. He is also a lecturer and adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Law, where he teaches state constitutional law, torts and appellate advocacy. He has written several articles and is currently working on a book on Maryland constitutional law and history.

“The Maryland Declaration of Rights” is the fourth in a series of lectures being held by the Maryland State Law Library to celebrate its 175 years of service to the State. Topics for future lectures include the value of unreported Maryland court opinions in legal research and the future of legal research. Dates and speakers will be announced throughout the year.
