ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 11, 2004) – The Maryland Court of Appeals will hear a presentation on the final report from the Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Judicial Process at 4 p.m. on June 15, 2004. The presentation will be held in the Court of Appeals courtroom in Annapolis.

Judge Dale R. Cathell, the Commission’s chair and member of the Court of Appeals, will present an overview of the report. U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Charles Day, Commission vice-chair, will present a summary of the report’s recommendations. 

The Commission was appointed by Court of Appeals Chief Judge Robert M. Bell in 2002. The findings reflect input gathered from public hearings and a survey of litigants.  

The public is invited to attend. Cameras are permitted upon request.
