(ANNAPOLIS, MD—September 7, 2004) The Maryland State Law Library’s lecture series continues this month with a lecture on “Neighbor Disputes,” given by Thomas Deming, Esq., and Linda Rowan Deming. The lecture will focus on a wide variety of potential conflicts with neighbors and how they may be resolved without resorting to court action. The lecture will be held on Thursday, September 23rd, at 12:00 p.m. at the Maryland State Law Library, located in the Robert C. Murphy Courts of Appeal Building, 361 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis. Mr. Deming, who retired from his position as Principal Counsel of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in 1995, has a solo practice representing principally citizen and environmental groups, in environmental, land use and other matters of concern to communities. Ms. Deming is the executive director of the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center in Annapolis and has extensive work experience in facilitative mediation in neighborhood, landlord/tenant, employment and consumer issues. “Neighbor Disputes” is the fifth in a series of lectures being held by the Maryland State Law Library to celebrate its 175 years of service to the state.
