Judiciary To Hold Minority Business Enterprise Outreach

(Annapolis, MD — October 13, 2005) The Maryland Judiciary will hold its Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Outreach on Friday, October 21, in the Largo Student Center at Prince George’s Community College, 301 Largo Road in Largo, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The outreach is free to the public, and will provide seminars on creating and building business relationships with the Maryland Judiciary and Prince George’s Community College. The event will also provide the opportunity for small and local businesses to network with other businesses and government agencies.

Chief Judge of the District Court Ben C. Clyburn will be the event’s keynote speaker, introduced by Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Robert M. Bell.

The mission of the Maryland Judiciary’s MBE program is to ensure equal access to contracting opportunities for certified minority businesses seeking to do business with the courts. This commitment translates into opportunities for firms with a devotion to providing quality services and creative solutions.

Members of the media are invited to attend. For more information, please contact the MBE program office at 410-260-1266, or log on to the MBE website at http://www.courts.state.md.us/procurement/mbe/index.html.
