| At the event, the court staff will hold an open meeting of their drug court steering committee, which involves members of the community and the drug treatment court team. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Frederick County Courthouse in Circuit Court Judge Julie Stevenson Solt’s courtroom. During the meeting, staff will discuss the objectives and goals for the program and explain how the drug treatment court program will work and will answer questions from area residents. “Drug related crime in Frederick County is increasing, and there is a significant need for a drug court,” said Paul Wolford, drug court coordinator. When Frederick’s drug court treatment program opens in May, it will be the 23rd drug treatment court in Maryland. Twelve more are in the planning stages around the state. Community residents who plan to attend the event should RSVP by April 15 by calling Paul Wolford at 301/696-2978.
