Obtaining Special Authorization for Out-of-State Attorneys Affiliated with Programs Providing Legals Services to Low-Income Individuals

A member of the Bar of another state who is employed by or associated with an approved legal services program (see list of Approved Legal Services Providers) may practice in this State pursuant to that program pursuant to Rule 19-218.

If you are an out-of-state attorney interested in receiving special authorization, please mail your application and documents required by Rule 19-218(c) along with payment of $10.00 (as a check or money order made out to Clerk of the Supreme Court, or in cash) to:
