In this topic, a Commissioner will submit an absence request that includes a holiday and a weekend.
Steps:
Click the My HR tab.
Step 1Click the Absence Request link.
Step 2When submitting an absence request from the Request Absence page, you should only request an absence for the current date or a future date.
If you need to enter an absence for a past date, please use the timesheet.
Step 3Click the Choose a date button.
Step 4Click the drop-down list for months.
Step 5Click the December list item.
Step 6Click 24.
Step 7Click the Filter by Type drop-down list.
Step 8Click the Annual Leave list item.
Step 9Click the Absence Name drop-down list.
Step 10Click the Annual Leave Take list item.
Step 11Click the Reason drop-down list.
Step 12Click the Annual Leave list item.
Step 13Depending on the Absence Name selected, the Current Balance for the Absence Name will be displayed.
Step 14Click in the Duration field.
Step 15Click the Calculate End Date or Duration button.
Step 17The End Date automatically populates the last date of the absence request based on the hours of Duration.
For this example, the employee requested 24 hours or 3 days.
Step 18Click the Forecast Balance button.
Step 19Notice the message confirming you are eligible to submit this leave request.
Step 20Click the Submit button.
Step 21Click the Yes button to submit.
Step 22Click the OK button.
Step 23After submission, the absence request is routed to the employee's Manager for approval.
Step 24Click the Home link.
Step 25Click the Sign out link.
