In this topic, you will review unscheduled absences.


Steps:

  1. Click the Timesheet link.

  2. Judiciary policy states that employees cannot have more than 6 unscheduled absences per calendar year.

     

    Upon entering the 7th unscheduled absence within the calendar year, CONNECT will display an error message and prevent you from submitting the unscheduled leave.

  3. Assume this employee already has 6 unscheduled absences submitted this year.

     

    For this example, you will attempt to enter the 7th unscheduled absence.

     

    Click the Absence tab.

  4. Click the Vertical scrollbar to move down the page.

  5. Click the Add Absence Event button.

  6. Click the Choose a date button for Start Date.

    Step 6
  7. Click 28 to select April 28.

    Step 7
  8. Click the Absence Name drop-down list.

  9. Click the Personal Leave Take list item.

  10. Click the Reason drop-down list.

  11. Click the Unscheduled list item.

  12. Click the Details link.

  13. Click the Calculate End Date or Duration button.

  17. Notice the message indicating you already have 6 unscheduled leaves for the year.

     

    You will not be eligible to submit this leave as Personal Unscheduled.
