In this topic, you will enter a half day of comp time and a half day of regular time on your timesheet.
Steps:
Click the My HR tab.
Step 1Comp time taken is always reported on your timesheet, not as an absence event.
Click the Timesheet link.
Step 2Begin by entering the hours worked.
Click in the In field.
Step 3Click in the Out field.
Step 5In this example, assume you are leaving at 12:00 pm.
When leaving for the day, be sure your out punch is recorded in the "Out" field, not the "Lunch" field.
Click the Time Reporting Code drop-down list.
Step 7The first half of the day is regular time.
Click the 01 REG - Regular Time list item.
Step 8In order to use comp time for the remaining 4 hours, add a new row for Tuesday 11/24.
Step 9Click the Horizontal scrollbar to move across the page.
Step 10Click the Add a new row button for the 11/24 row.
Step 11Click the Time Reporting Code drop-down list.
Step 12Click the 15 CMPTK - Comp Time Taken list item.
Step 13Use the Quantity field to enter the number of comp time hours taken.
Click in the Quantity field.
Step 14Once you enter your Comp Time, you can:
Click "Save for Later" if you do not require pre-approval for the time and submit it once you are ready to submit your timesheet on Tuesday.
Click on "Submit" if you need to have your manager approve it prior to the Timesheet Tuesday.
Note: when you click submit you will submit all time entry. It will be up to the manager to approve just the comp time and wait to approve the whole timesheet once completed. It will not be an issue for you to submit the timesheet once completed on Tuesday. It does not duplicate.
Click the Save for Later button.
Step 16Click the Yes button.
Step 17You have the ability to include a comment to help communicate your time entry.
Click the Comments button.
Step 18You may include a comment for any additional information that will help your manager understand your request.
Note: you will not be able to edit/alter your comment once you click the OK or Apply buttons.
Step 19Click the Close button.
Step 20Notice for 11/24, you have 4 hours of comp time taken and 4 hours of regular time saved to your timesheet.
Step 21Click the Home link.
Step 22Click the Sign out link.
