In this topic, you will edit and submit a cancelled absence request from the Timesheet.
Steps:
Click the My HR tab.
Step 1Click the Timesheet link.
Step 2The Absence tab provides a view to the cancelled absence request.
Step 3In this example, the absence request was already created then cancelled. Notice the "Cancelled" status.
Step 4Because this absence request was cancelled, it does not appear on the timesheet on 06/16/2016.
Step 5Click the Horizontal scrollbar to move across the page.
Step 6Click the Edit button to edit this absence request.
Step 7Click the Details link.
Step 8In this example, you will change the duration from 16 hours to 12 hours. Editing the request to half a day and a full day off.
Step 9Click the Partial Days drop-down list.
Step 10For this example, we will edit this absence to change it to a partial day and a full day off, for a total of 12 hours.
Click the Partial Days drop-down list.
Step 11Click the Start Day Only list item.
Step 12Click in the Start Day Hours field.
Step 13Click in the Duration field.
Step 15Press [Backspace].
Step 16You do not need to "Calculate End Date or Duration" since the End Date and Duration fields are already populated.
Click the Calculate End Date or Duration button.
Step 18Click the vertical scrollbar.
Step 19Click the OK button.
Step 20Click the Forecast button.
Step 21Click the Yes button.
Step 22Notice the message indicating you are eligible to submit this request.
Step 23For this example, we saved the timesheet for later, therefore the Absence Request Status is "Saved".
Step 24Notice the absence request is now displayed on the timesheet in a "Saved" status for 06/16/2016.
Step 25Once you have forecasted, it is best practice to submit the request for approval. Otherwise, the request will be saved and will not go out for approval.
If you save it for later, you will have to forecast it again and the forecasting action will also submit the request (timesheet).
Step 26Click the Forecast button.
Step 27Click the Yes button.
Step 28Click the Yes button.

Step 31Click the vertical scrollbar.
Step 32Notice the status of the absence request. It has changed from "Cancelled", to "Saved", to "Needs Approval".
The request has been successfully submitted to your manager for review and approval.
Step 33Click the Home link.
