In this topic, you will request time off using leave bank take/donation as an employee.
Steps:
Click the My HR tab.
Step 1Please note: Leave Bank Take/Donation requests are no longer accessible through the Timesheet.
Click the Absence Request link.
Step 2Before submitting an absence request, you can:
- click the View Absence Request History link to see a list of all absence requests that have been submitted.
- click the View Absence Balances link to see your current absence balances as of the last pay period.
- click Edit Historical Absence Request to change a previously submitted absence request that has not been approved.
Step 3Prior to submitting a leave bank take/donation absence request, you must:
- have an approved request to receive leave bank hours;
- submit the request within the date range approved;
- exhaust all current leave balances and comp time.
Step 4Update: Leave bank take/donations must be submitted within a single pay period. If the absence is crossing more than one pay period, it must be submitted separately.
For this example, the request to receive leave bank take/donation was approved by Employee Relations for 09/28/2016 through 10/28/2016.
Click the Choose a date button.
Step 5For this example, the pay period begins on 9/28/2016 and ends on 10/11/2016.
Select the 28th as the Start Date.
Step 6Click the Filter by Type drop-down list.
Step 7Click the Leave Bank / Donation list item.
Step 8Click the Absence Name drop-down list.
Step 9Click the Leave Bank Take list item.
Step 10Depending on the Absence Name selected, the Current Balance, the number of hours Approved not Taken, and the number of hours submitted for the Current Period will be displayed. For this example, the employee has 122.86 hours of leave bank hours.
Step 11Click the Reason drop-down list.
Step 12Click the Leave Bank / Donation list item.
Step 13Click in the Duration field.
Step 14Click the Calculate End Date or Duration button.
Step 16The End Date automatically populates the last date of the absence request based on the hours of Duration.
For this example, the employee requested 16 hours or 2 days.
Step 17If the absence requires documentation or additional details, you can upload documents by clicking the Attach Documentation link and/or enter details in the Requestor Comments section.
Step 18You can Save for Later or Submit the absence request. For this example, click the Submit button.
Step 19To acknowledge the message for documentation, click the OK button.
Step 20Click the Yes button to submit.
Step 21Click the OK button.
Step 22Click the Vertical scrollbar to move down the page.
Step 23The Absence Request shows a Submitted Status and Pending approval by the Manager.
Step 24Click the Home link.
Step 25Click the Sign out link.
