In this topic, you will update a supplemental learning request with completion data after you attended the learning event.
Steps:
Click the Learning Dashboard tab.
Step 1Click the My Learning link.
Step 2Use the My Learning page to locate the supplemental learning record that will be updated.
Step 3Click the Modify button for the External Reimbursed Learning event "Advanced Excel".
Step 4Click the Vertical scrollbar to move down the page.
Step 5Click in the Complete: Yes/No field.
Step 6Press [Backspace] to clear the field.
Step 7Note: Depending on the type of external learning you completed, you might receive a letter grade (A, B, C) or simply a completion status.
Enter the grade accordingly.
Step 10In order to be reimbursed, the OPD Manager must confirm that you completed the course and received a sufficient grade to meet organizational policy.
You must attach a transcript from the issuing institution.
Note: You will need an electronic copy of the transcript.
Step 11Click the Add Attachment button.
Step 12Click the Browse button to locate the transcript on your computer.
Step 13In this example, the electronic transcript was placed in a folder titled Learning Certificates.
Click the Excel_Specialist object.
Step 14Click the Open button.
Step 15Click the Upload button.
Step 16Click the View Attachment button to confirm your transcript was uploaded successfully.
Step 17Notice the attachment opened in a new tab at the top of the page.
Quickly view the attachment to ensure it is the correct document for this learning record.
Step 18When you are finished, click the Close Tab (X) button to close the attachment.
Be sure you are closing the correct tab for the attachment.
Step 19Click the Save button.
Step 20Notice the message indicating the status is Pending Approval.
The OPD Manager will verify your course completion based on the attached documentation.
Once approved by the OPD, you will receive a notification indicating the request was approved. At that point, you can submit an expense form to receive your reimbursement.
Step 21Click the Home link.
Step 22Click the Sign out link.
