In this topic, we will demonstrate how to use the timesheet to submit regular time for days with a partial absence request.
Steps:
Click the My HR tab.
Step 1Although Law Clerks do not submit a Timesheet, you still have access to a timesheet for the purpose of entering time when using a partial day absence.
This will allow for accurate payroll processing.
Click the Timesheet link.
Step 2In order to enter time to complete the hours for the partial day absence you will navigate to the date.
Step 3You may enter the date of your absence and click the refresh button (two green arrows).
Step 4You may also use the previous and next week links to navigate to the date.
Step 5Submitted absence requests will display on your timesheet. For this example we will add the 4 hours of regular time to this date.
Step 6Click the horizontal scrollbar.
Step 7We will need to add a new row to enter time for the same date as the absence requested.
Click the Add a new row button.
Step 8For this example we will enter 4 hours of regular time on Monday, May 16, to complete the day with 8 hours total.
Click in the Mon field.
Step 9It is required to select a time reporting code of Regular to allocate the hours correctly during payroll processing.
Click the Time Reporting Code drop-down list.
Step 11Click the REG - Regular Time list item.
Step 12Once you have entered the hours and selected the time reporting code, you will submit the timesheet for approval.
Click the Submit button.
Step 13Click the OK button.
Step 14Click the OK button.
Step 15Click the OK button.
Step 16Once submitted and confirmed, you will be routed back to the timesheet where you can see your Reported Status for your time and absence request.
Step 17Click the Home link.
Step 18Click the Sign out link.
Step 19You have completed entering and submitting regular hours to a partial day absence.
