In this topic, you will request time off from an employee's elapsed timesheet for bereavement. Bereavement is not an accrued leave and does not require forecasting.
Steps:
Click in the User ID field.
Step 1Click in the Password field.
Step 3Click the Sign In button.
Step 5Click the Timesheet link.
Step 6Click the Next Period link.
Step 7Notice the employee has already submitted absence requests for 16 hours of Annual Leave - Sick.
Step 8Click the Absence tab.
Step 9Click the Add Absence Event button.
Step 10Click the Vertical scrollbar to move down the page.
Step 11Double-click in the End Date field.
Step 12To clear the field,
Press [Backspace].
Step 13Click the Absence Name drop-down list.
Step 15Click the Bereavement Leave Take list item.
Step 16Click the Reason drop-down list.
Step 17Click the Death in Family list item.
Step 18Click the Details link.
Step 19Click the Calculate End Date or Duration button.
Step 20The Duration will automatically populate if the Start Date and End Date fields are completed.
For this example, the employee requested 3 days off or 24 hours.
Step 21Click the OK button.
Step 22Click the Submit button.
Step 23To acknowledge the message for documentation, click the OK button.
Step 24This message is alerting you to certify the reported time is accurate.
Click the OK button.
Step 25Click the OK button.
Step 26Notice the Status for the absence request is Needs Approval.
Step 27Click the Home link.
Step 28Click the Sign out link.
