CONNECT supports three wildcard features when searching for data in character fields. These wildcards can be helpful in finding the exact information you want to process.
The supported standard wildcard features:
% the percent sign to match one or more characters
_ the underscore to match any single character
\ the back slash as an escape character (don't treat the next character as a wildcard)
