In this topic, you will create a new supplemental learning type.
Steps:
Click in the User ID field.

you need to keep a record.
Step 10Click the Add a New Value tab.
Step 11Click in the Type field.
Step 12Click the Required checkbox for "Title".
Step 14Click the Required checkbox for "Description".
Step 15Click the Required checkbox for "Supervised By".
Step 16Click the Required checkbox for "Provided By".
Step 17Click the Required checkbox for "Start Date".
Step 18Click the Required checkbox for "End Date".
Step 19Click the Display checkbox for "Location".
Step 20Click the Display checkbox for "Institution".
Step 21Click the Display checkbox for "Education Units".
Step 22Click the Vertical scrollbar to navigate down the page.
Step 23Click in the Free Field One field.
Step 24Click the Required checkbox for "Free Field One".
Step 26When defining a supplemental learning type, you can enable mapping of the supplemental learning to an equivalent course, program, or competency that already exists in the catalog. The user selects the relevant course, program, or objective when reporting the supplemental learning.
In this example we do not map the supplemental learning to any equivalents.
Step 27Click the Approval Type drop-down list.
Step 28Click the Internal-Mgr External-None list item.
Step 29Click the Vertical scrollbar to navigate down the page.
Step 30Click in the Instructions field.
Step 31Enter "External Testing that is relevant to an employee's job." into the Instructions field.

Step 34Use the Security tab to identify the learning environment and learner groups that can access this supplemental learning type.
