In this Performance Insight topic, you will retrieve data about employee performance documents using search criteria based on your manager/security roles.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Insights menu.
Step 3Click the Performance Insight menu.
Step 4The Performance Insight provides a comprehensive view on the status of employee performance documents.
If a specific employee's information is needed, the report can be generated using Employee ID, Last/First Name or Position Number search criteria.
If information is needed for a group of employees, the report can be generated by selecting one or more Departments or Districts.
Step 5Search criteria specific to the Performance Insight include:
- Document type - Performance Improvement Plan or Annual Performance Appraisal
- Document status (i.e. Completed, In Progress Evaluation, Not Started, etc.)
- Date range using From and To Date fields
- Due Date of performance document.
Step 6You will need to select one or more search criteria and/or time specific criteria.

Step 7The Insights Tip Sheet gives an explanation of searching by Department vs. Location and how to use the Look Up when searching the fields with magnifying glasses.
Click the Insight Tip Sheet scrollbar to view all of the information.
Step 8Click the Close (X) button to exit the Insight Tip Sheet.
Step 9The security access for this topic will allow you to view employees within CC Montgomery County.
For this example, you will search the CC Montgomery County - Computer Operations Department for performance documents by Document Type.
Click the Look up Department button.
Step 10The Look Up Department will display a list of departments.
Step 11Click the Vertical scrollbar to view more departments.
Step 12Click the 1015144 link for CC 15 - Computer Operations.
Step 13The Department you selected will display here.
Step 14Click the Look up Document Type button.
Step 15Notice there are 2 types of documents that can be viewed:
- Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
- Annual Performance Appraisal.
For this example, click the PERFFACT link for Annual Performance Appraisal.
Step 16The Search button is to view the results based on the search criteria.
The Clear button is to delete the search criteria.
The Export button is to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 17Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.
Step 18The results displayed below show all employees who have Annual Performance Appraisals in CC 15 - Computer Operations.
Step 19Click the Horizontal scrollbar to view the remaining columns.
Step 20Notice the column headings show the flow of the performance document from when it was created to when it was completed.
Step 21Click the Horizontal scrollbar to return to the search criteria.
Step 22Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
You will now search using different criteria.
Step 23For this example, you will search for CC Montgomery County performance documents within a specific date range.
Click in the From Date field.
Step 24Click in the To Date field.
Step 26Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.
Step 28The results displayed below show all employees who have performance documents that were due between 12/16/2015 to 12/31/2015.
Step 29Click the Export button to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 30You have the option to Open the spreadsheet or to Save the spreadsheet. For this example, you will open the spreadsheet.
Click the OK button.
Step 31Excel allows you to customize the data in the spreadsheet.
After reviewing the spreadsheet, click the Minimize button.
Step 32Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
Step 33Click the Home link.
Step 34Click the Sign out link.
