In this topic, you will submit a POI Request form for a new user, to modify access for a current user, or to inactivate a POI.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Manager Self Service menu.
Step 3Click the POI Maintenance Request menu.
Step 4You can use the Search/Fill a Form page to search for an existing POI Maintenance Request Form you created, or enter a new one.
Step 5For this example, click the Add a New Value tab.
Step 6Click the Instructions tab to view a description of the fields on this page.
Step 7Review the form description and instructions.
Step 8Click the Form tab.
Step 9Click the Type of Request drop-down list.
Step 10Click the New User list item.
Step 11Click in the Legal Name field.
Step 12Click in the Other Name field.
Step 14Click in the Position Title field.
Step 16Click in the Work Department ID field.
Step 18Enter "1024000" into the Work Department ID field.
Step 19Once the Work Department ID is entered, the Department field is automatically populated.
Step 20Click in the Location Code ID field.
Step 21Since this is a request for a New User, the POI would not have a User ID. For this example, the field can be left blank.
If you were modifying the details of an existing POI, you would enter their Current User ID here.
Step 23Click the Position Type drop-down list.
Step 24Select the applicable position type.
For this example, click the Contractual list item.
Step 25Click in the Contract End Date field.
Step 26Click in the Employee Phone field.
Step 28Click in the Employee Email field.
Step 30Review the Security Statement below then enter your name and phone number as your electronic signature.
Step 32Click in the Requester's Electronic Signature field.
Step 33Click in the Requester's Phone field.
Step 35Click the Vertical scrollbar to move down the page.
Step 37You can enter additional comments and/or details in the More Information section.
Step 38Click the Save button.
Step 39Click the Vertical scrollbar to move up the page.
Step 40Notice the Preview Approval and Submit buttons are available after you save the form.
If you want to see the approval path, click the Preview Approval button. Otherwise, you can submit the form.
Step 41Click the Preview Approval button.
Step 42Notice the defined approval path: Admin Official > CONNECT O&M > Security.
Since the form hasn't been submitted yet, it has not been routed to anyone in the approval path.
Step 43Click the Submit button.
Step 44The form is now "Pending" with the first approver in the approval path.
Step 45Click the OK button.
Step 46In the event you submitted the form in error, you can click the Cancel Approval button. The form would remain in Saved status until submitted for approval.
Step 47Click the Home link.
Step 48Click the Sign out link.
