03_10_16_Position Change Request


Concept

In this topic you will go through the steps of completing a position change request.


Steps:

  1. Click the Main Menu button.

  2. Click the HCM Systems button.

  3. Click the Manager Self Service menu.

  4. Click the Position Change Request menu.

  5. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  6. Click the Attachments tab.

  7. NOTE: Not all position change requests require a completed Position Description Questionnaire (PDQ) form. Use the instructions tab to see details.

  8. Download the PDQ form, complete and save to attach to request.

  9. Once you have completed the PDQ and saved the file you will need to attach it to your position change request.

  10. Click the Form tab.

  11. Enter the position number or use the look up to select from a predefined list of options.

     

    Click in the Position Number (PIN) field.

     into the Position Number (PIN) field.

  13. The Position Number (PIN) will auto populate the Subject and Position Attribute Changes.

     

    Update the details of the position atribute, if needed.

  14. Click the Type of Change drop-down list.

  15. The type of change menu list provides all the options available for the position change.

     

    Click the Reclassification list item.

  16. Enter the employee ID or use the look up to search by last name or first name.

     

    Click in the Employee ID field.

     into the Employee ID field.

  18. The Employee ID will auto populate the Employee Name.

  19. Enter or click the calendar to choose the date when the position change must take effect.

     

    Click in the Effective Date field.

  24. Click the Veritcal scrollbar to move down the page.

  25. Click the Essential Position drop-down list.

     "The employee qualifies to be reclassified to a higher level."
     into the Justification field.

  30. You must save the form first and then submit for approval.

     

    Click the Save button.

  33. The first approver will have a status of "Pending" when the form is submitted. If the form is saved and not submitted the status will show as "Not Routed".

  34. The approval chain displays the individuals who will receive notifications, review, and either approve or deny the request.
