In this Time Insight topic, you will retrieve reported time data about your employees using defined search criteria. Data returned is limited to your time reporting security.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Insights menu.
Step 3Click the Time Insight menu.
Step 4The Time Insight provides time specific criteria obtained from employee time entry.
If a specific employee's information is needed, the report can be generated using Employee ID, Last/First Name or Position Number search criteria.
If information is needed for a group of employees, the report can be generated by selecting one or more Job Codes, Reports To, Department, Location, District, or Workgroup.
Step 5You will need to select one or more search criteria and/or time specific criteria.
The Insight Tip Sheet offers quick tips to assist your search. Click the Insight Tip Sheet link.
Step 6The Insights Tip Sheet gives an explanation of searching by Department vs. Location and how to use the Look Up when searching the fields with magnifying glasses.
Click the Insight Tip Sheet scrollbar to view all of the information.
Step 7Click the Close (X) button to exit the Insight Tip Sheet.
Step 8The security access for this topic will allow you to view employees within CC Montgomery County.
For this example, you will view CC Montgomery County employees who requested Comp Time Earned and Comp Time Taken within the time frame of 01/06/2016 to 06/20/2016.
Step 9Notice the Start and End Dates are defaulted. You can change the dates by clicking on the calendar button or entering the date into the fields.
For this example, you will only change the Start Date.
Step 10Click the Look up Add TRC (Time Reporting Code) button.
Step 12The Look Up Add TRC will display a list of Time Reporting Codes.
Step 13For this example, you want to select the Time Reporting Code for Comp Time Earned.
Click the CPTEN link.
Step 14The first Time Reporting Code (TRC) you selected will display here.
Now you will add another TRC.
Step 15Click the Look up Add TRC (Time Reporting Code) button.

You will select the Time Reporting Code for Comp Time Taken.
Click the CMPTK link.
Step 17Both of the Time Reporting Codes selected will display here.
Step 18The Search button is to view the results based on the search criteria.
The Clear button is to delete the search criteria.
The Export button is to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 19Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.
Step 20The results displayed below show all employees who have entered CPTEN and CMPTK as TRCs on their timesheet between 01/06/2016 - 06/20/2016.
Step 21Click the Vertical scrollbar to view the results.
Step 22Click the Vertical scrollbar to return to the search criteria.
Step 23Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
You will now search using different criteria.
Step 24For this example, you will view CC Montgomery County employees who requested Holiday within the time frame of 01/06/2016 to 06/06/2016.
Step 25Click the Look up Add TRC (Time Reporting Code) button.
Step 28If you do not see the time reporting code you need, you can enter the beginning of the time reporting code by clicking in the Search By field.
Step 29The TRC you need is Holiday. Enter "HOL" into the Search by field.
Step 30Click the Look Up button.
Step 31The Look Up results display all time reporting codes that begin with HOL.
Click the HOLPD link.
Step 32Click the Search button.
Step 33The results displayed below show all employees who have entered HOLPD as a TRC on their timesheet between 01/06/2016 - 06/06/2016.
Step 34Click the Vertical scrollbar, to view the results.
Step 35Click the Vertical scrollbar to return to the search criteria.
Step 36Click the Export button to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 37You have the option to Open the spreadsheet or to Save the spreadsheet. For this example, you will open the spreadsheet.
Click the OK button.
Step 38Excel allows you to customize the data in the spreadsheet.
After reviewing the spreadsheet, click the Minimize button to return to the search results.
Step 39Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
Step 40Click the Home link.
Step 41Click the Sign out link.
