In this topic, you will go through the steps required to complete a new position request.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Manager Self Service menu.
Step 3Click the New Position Request menu.
Step 4Click the Search button to view previously submitted requests.
To submit a new request, select the Add a New Value tab.
Step 5For this example, click the Add a New Value tab.
Step 6Click the Instructions tab.
Step 7Please be sure to read instructions before filling out this form.
Step 8Notice there is a 254 character limit for the free form text fields in Parts 2 through 6.
Step 9Click the Form tab.
Step 10The system will default the Subject name using the position’s title and work location once the request is saved. The subject line will help to track the transaction.
Step 11Click in the Jurisdiction [Location] field.
Step 12Click in the Contact Name field.
Step 14Click in the Phone Number field.
Step 16Click in the Program # field.
Step 18Click in the New Position field.

Step 55Enter "Assist in all administrative tasks related to the office of the administrative judge" into the Job Duties field. (254 character limit)

Step 57Enter "Bachelor degree and 7 years of experience" into the Education and Experience field. (254 character limit)

Step 59Click the Save button.

Step 62NOTE: If the request is made by a first level approver, Administrative Official, then the status is "Skipped". The second approver will have a status of "Pending" when the form is submitted. If the form is saved and not submitted the status will show as "Not Routed".
Step 63The approval chain displays the individuals who will receive notifications, review, and either approve or deny the request.
Step 64Click the OK button.
Step 65In the event you submitted the form in error, you can click the Cancel Approval button. The form would remain in Saved status until submitted for approval.
