May 6, 2024: MDEC has been implemented in all Maryland Courts
The Maryland Judiciary completed its statewide implementation of the Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) case management system on May 6, 2024. Pursuant to Maryland Rule 20-106, electronic-filing (e-filing) by attorneys is mandatory in all courts throughout the state. View the e-filing brochure. Self-represented litigants are not required to e-file. However, if a self-representative litigant files electronically, all subsequent filings must be filed electronically.
