05_04_16_Understanding Locked Timesheets


Concept

In this topic, you will review timesheets that have been locked during payroll processing.


Steps:

  1. Click the My HR tab.

    Step 1
  2. Click the Timesheet link.

    Step 2
  3. Previous days' timesheets will be unavailable every other week on Wednesday and Thursday while payroll is being processed.

     

    When your timesheet is locked, a message will appear on the timesheet and you will not be able to enter time for a past date. During this period, you can continue to enter time for the current day or future days.

     

    Timesheets will be unlocked beginning Friday morning.

    Step 3

  4. Notice in this example, the date is Thursday 5/5 and Wednesday 5/4 is unavailable for entry even though Wednesday is the first day of the new pay period.

     

    When the timesheets are locked, adjustments and entries cannot be made for any day in the past.

     

    You are able to enter time for the current day and future days.

  5. Click the Previous Week link.

    Step 5
  6. Notice all rows on the previous week's timesheet are unavailable for entry.

  7. Click the Previous Week link.

    Step 7
  8. Going back another week, all rows are unavailable for entry.

    Step 8

  9. Click the Next Week link.

    Step 9
  10. Click the Next Week link.

  11. Starting with 5/5 (the current date), all current and future dated rows are available for entry.

  12. Click the Home link.
