Introductory Workshop Webinar

The next Introductory Webinar for Spoken Language Interpreter candidates will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Deadline to apply is Friday, September 20, 2024 at 4:00 PM.

This language-neutral webinar is designed to familiarize court interpreter candidates with the Maryland court system and help them prepare for the Court Interpreter Written Exam.

The following languages are not accepted currently due to the high number of interpreters in these languages already listed on the Registry: Cantonese, French, Mandarin, Russian, and Ukrainian. Please visit our site in the spring of 2025 to seek admission.

Admission into the Court Interpreter Program is competitive. Professional interpreting experience and/or formal training in the interpretation field are required in order to be considered. All submissions will be acknowledged and candidates notified of the decision via e-mail within two weeks of the submission date.

If you have questions about the program or your qualifications, please e-mail to [email protected].
