  Fire Damage Forces Closure of Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr., Courthouse in
Baltimore City for Remainder of the Week;
Services Available at Courthouse East

(BALTIMORE – April 27, 2016) The Baltimore City Circuit Court Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr., Courthouse, located at 100 N. Calvert Street, will be closed through Friday, April 29, 2016, due to damage caused by a fire that occurred in the basement of the building on the evening of Tuesday, April 26, 2016. The Baltimore City Department of General Services has not notified court officials when the building will re-open.

Alternative arrangements have been made to relocate cases and court services to the Courthouse East building, located across the street at 111 N. Calvert Street. Only jurors in continuing jury trials need to appear. No new jurors are required to report on April 28 or April 29, 2016.

All parties should check to see if their proceedings/hearings have been moved to Courthouse East. To determine if a proceeding/hearing has been moved to Courthouse East, please call 410-396-4916.
