Maryland Judiciary names new Chief Information Officer

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Judiciary has named Robert “Bob” Bruchalski as Chief Information Officer and Assistant Administrator for Judicial Information Systems today. Bruchalski, a 19-year veteran of the Judiciary, most recently served as director of Judicial Information Systems.

“As a valuable member of JIS’ leadership team for nearly two decades, Bob has been instrumental in helping to lead the Judiciary’s information technology strategic development and operational planning,” said State Court Administrator Pamela Harris. “I appreciate his focus, thoughtfulness, and his willingness to bring our IT systems to the next level.”

The Judicial Information Systems IT systems serve nearly 4,500 Judiciary users throughout the state of Maryland.

“I believe deeply in the importance of the mission of the Maryland Judiciary and I am proud to support it,” said Bruchalski. “I’m honored to have been chosen as the CIO, and look forward to continuing working with a group I greatly admire, the talented men and women who make up the Judicial Information Systems team.”

Prior to joining the Judiciary, Bruchalski worked with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, where he oversaw the development of all automated systems.
