Media Advisory:
Baltimore high school students’ artwork unveiled during Courting Art Baltimore reception

On Thursday, April 4, high school students, their families, friends, and art teachers will celebrate artwork submitted for the fourth annual Courting Art Baltimore art contest. The students’ submissions to this year’s competition, following the theme “Uplift Baltimore,” will be displayed during a reception at Baltimore City Community College.

Courting Art Baltimore promotes the city’s youth and their artwork, connects the legal community with local Baltimore communities, and strives to reduce stress and anxiety for litigants and visitors by beautifying local courthouses. Finalists’ artwork will be displayed on courthouse walls at the Eastside District Court Building on May 15 at an awards reception. The top five contestants will be awarded $20,0000 in scholarships toward art programs or post-high school degrees, including a first-place scholarship of $7,500.
