Pilot Program Information
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how housing cases are handled by the District Court. In October 2020, the District Court of Maryland for Harford County will be conducting a pilot program for remote hearings in landlord/tenant matters, including failure to pay rent cases. Remote hearings will be used to continue to ensure the safety and well‐being of court staff, counsel, parties, and the public.
Parties will still be able to attend in-person for court appearances if they do not have the ability to join remotely, with safety measures and social distancing required in court facilities.
