What is Community Conferencing?
Community Conferencing is one of many forms of restorative justice. It is a dialogue convened by an invested facilitator in order to give those who have committed an act of harm and the person(s) harmed an opportunity to discuss the matter and potentially find ways to repair the harm or relationship. This process gives neighbors, schools, government agencies, faith communities, organizations, and families a constructive way to respond to conflict. These services are provided at no cost to the participants.
