The Allegany County Generous Jurors Program is a way for jurors to assist one of the more than 120 children in foster care in Allegany County.
Any juror who would like to donate all or part of the payment they receive for jury service to the Allegany County Foster Care Program can do so by informing the Jury Commissioner when signing in on your day of service. It’s a simple yet meaningful gesture that can raise additional needed funds for foster children in Allegany County.
All donations go directly to the children to provide for special amenities and to enhance foster care experiences in Allegany County. The Generous Jurors Program could assist with purchasing items such as Christmas and birthday gifts, bedroom furniture, prom dresses, recreational activity fees, class rings, senior pictures, camp memberships and other services and activities for which funding may not be available.
