Remote ADR Program

The District Court of Maryland ADR Office is providing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) (mediation or settlement conference) services to parties in District Court civil cases free-of-charge.  ADR is conducted remotely, rather than in-person, using Zoom for Government videoconference and telephone conference technology.  

How to obtain Remote ADR services:

1. Contact the ADR Office by phone or e-mail to request Remote ADR for your case.

  • Please include the case number, your name, and the phone number where you can be reached.

2. The ADR Office will follow up with you to gather some additional information about your case.

3. The ADR Office will reach out to the other party or parties in the case to invite their participation in Remote ADR session.

4. The ADR Office will follow-up with each party to share whether the case will move forward to a Remote ADR Session.
 

  • If the case is moving forward to a Remote ADR Session, you will receive a scheduling confirmation e-mail and other instructions for participating in the Zoom ADR session.
