Electronic Audio-Visual Evidence
Both courtrooms and the Magistrate’s hearing room are equipped with monitors for displaying video and playing audio evidence. Each counsel table contains a box for connecting electronic equipment: laptop, tablet, mobile phone, to a power source and HDMI cable. Attorneys and litigants must supply devices and/or other equipment needed for evidence display and are expected to contact court staff: Chambers (410.758.0216, Extension 5157 or 5163) to arrange a time to test compatibility of the equipment with the court’s system in advance to avoid delay on the trial date. Additionally, a copy of any electronic media displayed in the Courtroom (e.g.: CD, USB Drive, etc.) must also be provided to the Clerk of Court.
Other Evidence
Standing easels are available for presentations during court proceedings. Attorneys and litigants are expected to contact court staff: Chambers (410.758.0216, Extension 5157 or 5163) to arrange use of the easels in advance of trial date.
Projectors and screens are not available at the courthouse. Attorneys and litigants must supply devices and/or other equipment needed for this purpose and are expected to contact court staff: Chambers (410.758.0216, Extension 5157 or 5163) to advise what devices will be used and arrange a time for any necessary setup of equipment in advance to avoid delay on the trial date.
Hearing Assistance
Hearing assistance equipment is available in both courtrooms and the Magistrate’s hearing room upon request to staff in the courtroom.
Interpreter Equipment
Equipment is available to facilitate interpreters providing services in the building. Interpreters are expected to inform court staff when the equipment is needed.
